In five days, the price grew 1000%, rising from $0.008 to $0.08 for 1 bitcoin. Feb 2011 – April 2011 $1.00 Bitcoin takes parity with US dollar. 8 July 2011 $31.00 top of first 'bubble', followed by the first price drop Dec 2011 $2.00 minimum after few months Dec 2012 $13.00 slowly rising for a year 11 April 2013 $266. Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Although other cryptocurrencies have come before, Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency - Its reputation has spawned copies and evolution in the space.

How does the free Bitcoin miner works?
Through a browser-based script the free Bitcoin miner uses your CPU for solving hashes to mine Monero (XMR). We then exchange the Monero mined by you to Bitcoin and send the BTC to your wallet.
Our free Bitcoin miner uses your CPU to mine XMR instead of Bitcoin because to mine Monero you have to calculate hashes with an algorithm called Cryptonight. This algorithm is very compute heavy and was designed to run well on consumer CPUs making CPU mining of Bitcoin more efficient than mining BTC directly.

Blockchain-based currencies use encoded strings, which are in a Base58Check encoding with the exception of Bech32 encodings. The encoding includes a prefix (traditionally a single version byte), which affects the leading symbol(s) in the encoded result. The following is a list of some prefixes which are in use in the reference Bitcoin codebase.[1][2][3]

Note that private keys for compressed and uncompressed bitcoin public keys use the same version byte. The reason for the compressed form starting with a different character is because a 0x01 byte is appended to the private key before base58 encoding.
The following table shows the leading symbol(s) and address length(s) for 160 bit hashes for each of the possible decimal version values:
